Challenge
JSA is a highly successful pharmaceutical agency, but it rarely promotes itself. In 2005, the agency decided to undertake an image-building campaign, one element of which was to be an advertorial in Canadian Pharmaceutical Marketing. The goal was to position JSA as a strong creative agency, while reinforcing its recognized strengths in strategic thinking.

Solution
I conducted one-on-one interviews with the agency’s senior executives to learn how they approach their work and what makes JSA unique. I then wrote a 1,600-word article that reads like an objective magazine profile and delivers on all the client’s requested copy points. I submitted the copy on time, carried out revisions promptly and the client was extremely pleased with the final result.
